Dear Students,

Winter Semester 2014 Undergraduate dormitory 3rd allocation results:

Main Campus Dorms: Male students have been processed till number 14; female students have yet to start allocation.

Medicine and Public Health Dorms: Drawing has been completed for all students.

Allocation process will continue till JUN 19, 2015. We appreciate your patience.

 

Please take note of the following:

1.     Dormitory fee

Please visit the following website:https://housing.ntu.edu.tw/waiting/index/id/547ecba96c47b and click on the dorm room confirmation button or the dorm room cancellation button.

Please print out the fee payment document from the above website and follow the procedure as detailed on it for fee payment.

Fees are inclusive of: Rental fee, deposit (please refer to number 9 of this notice), internet fee.

According to Article 15 of the NTU Student Dormitory Management Regulations, students who have been qualified to move into the dorms must pay the accommodation fee within seven days of the notification from Housing Service Division. The payment would be based on per-week unit. This means any stay less than a week (7 days) would still be charged as one week. Student’s qualification for dormitory accommodation would be considered nullified if the payment is not received by the deadline

2.     Moving in

·           Reporting time: Please report to the Resident Director’s office first to apply for the move in before actually moving in. (contact: http://140.112.36.182/riki110/pages.php?ID=about7 ) If you need to move in at night or during the weekends, please inform the Resident Director of your dorm during office hour (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) before moving in.

·           Reporting location: Dorm Resident Director’s office.

·           When reporting, please have with you:

      Receipt of fee payment (for credit card payment, please show the payment confirmation screen or confirmation text message)

      Student Card

      Copy of household registry for the whole household or original copy of household certificate (which needs to include the father, mother, and student.)

      Student’s personal particulars (to be printed online yourselves)

3.     If you have already paid the deposit for BOT, please inform BOT directly for further actions. (Shui Yuan BOT: 2363-1066; Chang Hsin BOT: 2377-0199)

4.     If you are unable to movie in due to temporary leave or withdrawal from school, please inform Ms Feng within three days so we can open up the vacancy for other students on the waiting list. Ms Feng can be contacted at anhua@ntu.edu.tw, or you may call the Housing Service Division at (02)3366-2266

5.     Students are not allowed to use unauthorized electrical appliances (electrical stove, electrical pots and cookers, heaters and aquariums etc.) for safety reasons. Violators will be dealt with accordingly. If there is a need for extension cords, it must be equipped with surge protectors and need to be approved by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection as a qualified product.

6.     For hygiene reasons, please do not keep pets within or around the dorms.

7.     According to the dormitory management regulations, visitors are not allowed to stay overnight and to freely enter and exit the dorms. Boarding students are not allowed to let out their bed spaces. Violators will be dealt with accordingly.

8.     According to the dormitory management regulations, boarding students may not use the dormitory internet to perform illegal acts or violate academic internet usage agreement. Violators will be dealt with accordingly.

9.   Since 2004, new undergraduate and graduate boarding students need to pay a deposit of a third of their dorm fees, which will be paid along with sundry fees of the school. If there is no need for compensation for damaged dorm properties when the resident moves out, the deposit will be returned without interest. (You will need to present your deposit receipt when applying for withdrawal from the dorm, so please keep your deposit receipt safe.)

10.  Boarding students must attend the fire drill practice held by the school once each school year. Those who fail to do so will have their accommodation cancelled.

11.  All other issues not specified above will be dealt with according to the dormitory management regulations.
